We Take Care of Our Own
The Peterson name is synonymous with community support. For over 60 years, our hospital staff has tried to give back to the community that has given so much to support us. From volunteering after work hours organizing flu clinics or health screenings, to conducting Saturday car seat safety clinics or community education courses covering the most relevant health topics, the PRMC employees enjoy going above and beyond to represent their hospital and strengthen their community.
To learn more about the events we support or the community education courses we offer, view our calendar shown on the right side of this screen. Just click on a date for a full description of our planned event.

The New Health Insurance Marketplace - Need Help?
On October 1, 2013, open enrollment to offer health insurance to eligible individuals began through the Health Insurance Marketplace, also referred to as exchanges. As a trusted source in healthcare, Peterson is able to help uninsured individuals better understand and access coverage options, point you in the right direction for the information or options you need, and build a positive awareness of the importance and depth of the exchange. Here are two suggested sites with resources you may need to better understand the Affordable Care Act and starting the enrollment process:
- www.enrollamerica.org - This site offers great resources, webinars, and news updates
- HealthCare.gov and Cuidadodesalud.gov - provide information to consumers on coverage through the Marketplace and how to sign up for coverage.
The deadline to apply for coverage is December 16th for coverage to begin January 1, 2014.
Return to this section of our Community page often for updates on this important issue and refer to our Calendar of Events as community workshops may be offered to cover this topic.
