Ready and Waiting

Peterson's Emergency Department (ED) is ready and waiting if you need us!  While no one foresees a trip to the emergency room, if you find yourself in an emergency, you can trust Peterson's ED to provide experienced and efficient service to you and your loved ones.

Did you know that Peterson's emergency room averages 2,500 patients a month?  That's roughly 80 patients a day.  While the numbers are high, our staff strives to improve our emergent response times.  With the implementation of new processes put into place in 2010, our ED department proudly boasts a consistent 30-minutes average "door to doc" time.

We offer a highly skilled emergency medical staff 24/7.  Our ER physicians have emergency medical training and most are board certified in emergency medicine.  Our Mid-Level providers, who are Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners, are also available in the ED.  Our nurses also have special emergency training and are certified in advanced cardiac life support, many certified emergency nurses.

You're in good and caring hands at Peterson's Emergency Room from the moment you walk through our doors!

Patient Testimonial: "The first aid I received at the festival was first rate as was my experience at the Peterson Regional Medical Center Emergency Room in Kerrville. My injury was seen to in a timely way and everyone I encountered treated me with tender professionalism. At 3am, when a nurse in the emergency room overheard my husband and me trying to organize ourselves a hotel room in town, she offered to find a quiet room for us in the hospital, provided us each a bed and covered us with warm blankets instead! We are grateful to the wonderful folks of Kerrville who helped during my time of need." Julia B. Austin, Texas
